There are so many stories that I could share about our fun in the 1970s and 80s. This is one I like. Clive Huish and myself frequently got 'cry for help' calls from Trisha when her car had broken down. 
Remember this was before mobile phones.
One afternoon when bringing Simon Gough and his friend home, the car broke down just outside the Blackwall tunnel. Trisha abandoned the car, and with the two young boys entered a local pub to try and make a phone call. She was busy making the call and what she hadn't realised, was that the pub was holding a striptease act. She desperately tried to cover both boys eyes, which was probably quite difficult with the attraction for two 14-year-olds!
